Welcome to our Rodizio - The Churrascaria at Turning Stone. We strive to provide you with a culinary experience unlike any other in Central New York. Rodizio is a place to celebrate everyday life in the tradition of the Gauchos. We want you to relax and enjoy this truly unique experience with us.

Churrasco (choo-rah-sko) has been a culinary tradition in Rio Grande do Sul (Southern Brazil) since the early 1800’s. In the old days, the Gauchos (South American Cowboys) pierced large pieces of meat and slowly roasted them over open fire pits while talking about their adventures on the Pampas. The roasted meats were then brought around to each family and carved table side with their knives in a show of skill.

Churrascaria (choo-rah-scah-ria) is the name used to describe a restaurant that serves different cuts of roasted meats and Rodizio is a method of cooking and serving the different cuts of meat. Today we continue this tradition by offering a two-course endless meal.

The first course will begin at our delicious gourmet salad bar. There you will encounter traditional Brazilian staples such as Feijoada & Rice. Complimenting our salad bar, we offer other American and Asian favorites.

After the first course has been completed, turn the Brazilian inspired stone to green to begin the second course - our famous Rodizio.

Our Gauchos will then journey over to the table with select cuts of meat and seafood. Each will be skillfully carved off a sword-like skewer hot off the grill. Enjoy choices such as chicken breast wrapped in smoked bacon, roasted fresh Atlantic salmon, beef top sirloin, Linguica (Portuguese Style Sausage) and more. When the “turning stone” is back to red, our Gauchos will wait until the stone is green again to revisit the table. When you have had enough, turn your stone back to red. Combined with your entrée, is our house-baked cheese bread and choice of two traditional side dishes. Remember, there is no limit to our delicious salad bar, meats or side dishes.
